The Japanese writing system has 3 different alphabets - hiragana, katakana, and kanji. Most Japanese learners start by learning hiragana, then katakana, then kanji. Note that a knowledge of Hiragana and Katakana are a prequisite for this course. If you haven't already, check out my FREE Hiragana and Katakana courses here on Coursetakers!

Kanji is a system of writing used in Japan that utilizes Chinese characters. Many Japanese learners struggle with learning kanji, but believe it or not, kanji actually makes reading Japanese easier once you get the hang of it. Kanji can feel daunting simply due to the sheer number of characters, so just take things one character at a time and learn to enjoy the process. In this course, I will walk through EACH and EVERY kanji character with example words so you can master reading and writing kanji. Good luck, and I hope to see you in this course!
